Julia "First, this jacket is something I bought at my favorite vintage shop, VINIVINI LUXE. I started with that as the main point and built the outfit around it for balance. The jacket has a big silhouette, and I intentionally chose slightly oversized, baggy pants to go with it. To balance that, I wanted to add a sheer, lightweight top as an inner layer to give it a cool feel, and create an outfit that looks a little more grown-up, despite wearing sneakers. I completed the look with a small white bag for balance.
I also incorporated green pants to match the green in the sneakers, and chose a top with blue lines in the sheer part to match the blue in the sneakers. It's really fun to create various outfits by matching colors like this."

By adding a waist pouch around my waist, it cinches my midsection, making the balance look instantly better, which I really love. My glasses and earrings also serve as focal points, adding even more sophistication, and I think it all comes together really well."

Julia "This oversized varsity jacket is incredibly cute, and the 'NIKE' embroidered on the back of the sneakers matches the jacket's patch, which I love. The jacket has a masculine, boyish feel, but the burgundy inner layer adds a feminine touch, so it's not too boyish, which is key. Even with sneakers, the overall look is a bit masculine, but I think the balance of adding feminine and mature touches somewhere creates a really good overall cohesive feel, which I love."

Julia "First, I made a long checked skirt I bought at a vintage shop the focal point and tried to match a top with it. Since the skirt has a pattern, I paired it with a simple white polo shirt for a slightly retro look. The red bandana, also from a vintage shop, I wrapped around my head, and I chose somewhat round sunglasses with colored lenses, imagining a 'retro girl' overall, and then I paired this with the sneakers. Until now, I think my styles have been quite sporty or masculine, but for this last one, I tried to balance it by adding sneakers only to the footwear, creating a very feminine look."

｜What is the appeal of vintage items for Julia?

Julia "It's like a treasure hunt, it's so much fun. I feel happy when I find something good. And I also love that it's unique and not something everyone else has. Most of my everyday clothes are vintage. I'd say about 80 to 90% of my wardrobe is vintage items."

｜What was your impression of the Air Max 1 featured this time?

Julia "I thought they were incredibly cute. The colors aren't too bright, which makes them easy to incorporate into outfits. I was a bit worried if I could style them well for this photoshoot, but once I put outfits together, they fit perfectly, and I feel like I created cohesive looks. So, I really love these Air Max 1s."
