Forget-me-nots Daikanyama will host an exhibition by first-year students of Tama Art University's Department of Textile Design, Product Design Course, from Tuesday, May 23, 2023.
The shop name "Forget-me-nots" refers to the flower. Every woman is a flower with her own unique beauty, and independent women stand strong and beautiful, no matter the time or path. Forget-me-nots are street flowers, reflecting beauty, strength, and individual brilliance.
At Forget-me-nots, we challenge ourselves to explore our roles and potential as we learn, expressing independent beauty and the strength to flexibly navigate a diverse modern society, alongside creators and students who are about to blossom.
Forty-seven first-year students from the Textile Design Department researched the issue of discarded clothing, a problem in the fashion industry, considered what they could do, and used these materials to create flower-inspired yarns under the theme "Every woman is a flower bud. Find it yourself." Each student's spun yarn will be woven together, and the work will be completed with the participation of all visitors. We look forward to your participation.
