This month, we would like to introduce MARQUES' ALMEIDA, a brand whose products we started carrying in Spring/Summer 2022.

MARQUES' ALMEIDA was founded in London in 2009 by Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida, both from Portugal. After making its collection debut in Fall/Winter 2011, it caught the eye of select shops such as Opening Ceremony and garnered attention. The brand concept states that they "agree with Helmut Lang's words, 'Fashion is about attitude not hemlines.'," and by mixing a modern essence with 90s street style, they present their unique "street mode" collection.

A brand icon is the denim item that has been released every season since the brand's inception. They have gained popularity by deconstructing denim until it is worn out, showcasing unique cutting and silhouettes unfettered by preconceived notions, and beautiful drapes. Although previously known as a brand that worked with denim materials, in the collection that won the British Fashion Award for womenswear in 2013, they introduced new materials and techniques such as fur and metallics, which further enhanced their reputation.
