In 1920, founder Gregory Salomon started his fur business in Paris, France. When his son took over in the 1960s, couture houses like Dior became clients. Then, in 1972, Yves Salomon took over the family business as the third generation, shifting the focus from fur trading to trendy fashion, thus launching the Yves Salomon brand.

Yves Salomon pursued new techniques in fur, such as stretching, weaving, and mixing different materials, launching a succession of innovative collections. Handling over 100 types of fur, their continuous technological innovation has resulted in lightweight fabrics and reasonable prices.

Most of the items selected at fmn are from the Meteo line, which features trendy designs that leverage artisan techniques. This line is designed to be entirely fur-free.
