<Forget-me-nots> opened in 2021 as a select shop for active, creative, and independent women.
With the concept of "Street is beautiful, Sneaker is elegant", we propose the indomitable spirit of street culture and the history of sneakers through fashion for modern women.
The shop's name is the English name for the forget-me-not, a wildflower that blooms strongly in any environment. The image of independent women, each with their own beauty, standing on their own feet, is projected onto the image of the wildflower.
Up until now, <Forget-me-nots> has hosted a Special Afternoon Party with Lee Izumida and exhibited installations by students from the Department of Product Design, Textile Design, Tama Art University, conveying the story of Air Ship to many people.
This time, <Forget-me-nots>'s desire to empower women who take the first step, believing in their own strength rather than anyone else's, resonated with the mentality of Air Ship, and a collaboration was realized.
The theme of Air Ship created by <Forget-me-nots> is "Bud",
a design that projects the beauty of a bud before it blooms.
The audacious and overflowing confidence and will to make one's talents bloom.
Yet, there is still a hint of fragility and an incomplete appearance.
To express this, even in a simple body, the incompleteness is left only in the outline of the body parts, which is a unique feature not found in other sneakers.
The outsole also uses a skeleton material to express the strength of its natural form and the transience of a bud.
The Swoosh, inspired by the powerful wildflowers that sprout from cracks in concrete, expresses the roughness of concrete with gray suede. The leather throughout the body is soft and lustrous to express the freshness and newness of a bud, and the NIKE logo on the tongue and heel is embroidered in purplish-blue, the color of the forget-me-not bud itself.
Also, the lining of the shoe opening, which is the inside of the sneaker, reveals a glossy blue, the color of the forget-me-not flower that will bloom. And on the insole, which is not visible from the outside, there is a print of a fully bloomed forget-me-not, which the wearer wishes to bloom themselves and has imagined many times.
