To celebrate the collaboration launch of Forget-me-nots and Jordan Air Ship, we will be holding a "FLOWER DRIPPING WORKSHOP" led by artist Megumi Shinozaki, owner of edenworks, at Forget-me-nots Daikanyama. Reservations are accepted via the application form below.

・What is Flower Dripping?

A new form of expression that Megumi Shinozaki finally arrived at after countless trials. This art technique, not flower arrangement, uses the painting method of dripping to collect discarded flower petals from installations, flower husks from dismantled installations, and broken flowers from daily flower shop operations that would normally be thrown away. It is an artistic approach that gives new life to these discarded elements.

Dry flowers are colored by dissolving particles of Suhi-enogu (pigments made from natural earth, seashell-derived gofun, or fine particles dyed with white clay used in Japanese painting) with nikawa (animal glue solution). Using nikawa, which also serves as a natural adhesive, to fix and adhere the dry flowers to the canvas, please enjoy the layering of dry flowers created by chance, embracing the unexpected.
*Since dyes may adhere, please bring a hand towel and clothes you don't mind getting dirty, or an apron, if needed.

The workshop is a valuable opportunity to meet the creator, Megumi Shinozaki, in person.

Megumi Shinozaki
Owner of edenworks, a creative studio dealing with flowers and plants. With the philosophy of "connecting flowers to the future without discarding them," she brings out the possibilities of flowers with her unique sensibility, creating works that minimize flower waste. She widely engages in flower-related creations, from interior decorations and window displays to magazines, advertisements, commercials, and music videos. She operates various shops, including the weekend-only flower shop "edenworks bedroom," the dried flower shop "EW.Pharmacy," the plant concept shop "conservatory by edenworks," and the flower shop "ew.note" which connects people with flowers. In 2017, she presented her paper flower project "PAPER EDEN" in Milan, Italy. She also works as an artist both domestically and internationally, collaborating with brands and creating installations.
