Pop Up Store - FROM BUD TO FLOWER

This time, <Forget-me-nots> will release collaborative items with <JORDAN>, a premium apparel and accessories brand developed under the direct supervision of Michael Jordan, based on the great history of the basketball superstar. The collaborative sneakers, the brand's first, are a special pair that combines femininity with the Air Ship, a model that was once called a phantom <JORDAN> model.

First released in 1984, the Air Ship was the shoe worn by Michael Jordan at the beginning of his career. When Jordan debuted in the NBA, he wore the shoe with a strong will and confidence to stand out while his potential developed into great talent.
That is why the Air Ship has the power to encourage and provide the courage and opportunity to take the next step in proving one's undiscovered talents.
<Forget-me-nots> opened in Tokyo in 2021 as a select shop for active, creative, and independent women.
With the concept of "Street is beautiful, Sneaker is elegant," we propose the indomitable spirit of street culture and sneaker history through fashion for modern women.
The shop's name is the English name for the forget-me-not, a wild flower that blooms strongly in any environment. The image of independent women, each with their own beauty, is projected onto the image of wild flowers.
To date, <Forget-me-nots> has hosted a Special Afternoon Party with Lee Izumida, and exhibited an installation by students of the Tama Art University's Product Design Department, Textile Design major, conveying the story of the Air Ship to many people.
This collaboration was realized because <Forget-me-nots>'s desire to support women to take the first step by believing in their own strength, not that of others, resonated with the mentality of the Air Ship.

The theme of the Air Ship designed by <Forget-me-nots> is "bud."
The pair is designed to project the beauty of a bud before it blooms.
The strong confidence and will, bold and overflowing, of a woman about to make her talent blossom. Yet, there is still a hint of fragility and incompleteness.
To express this, even within the simple body, the only unique feature not found in other sneakers is the incompleteness left only in the outline of the body parts.
The outsole also uses a skeleton material to express the strength of its natural form and the ephemerality of a bud.

The Swoosh is inspired by the image of strong wildflowers sprouting from cracks in concrete, with the roughness of concrete expressed in gray suede. The leather on the entire body is soft, lustrous soft leather to express the freshness and novelty of a bud, and the NIKE logo on the shoelace and heel is embroidered in purplish-blue, the exact color of a forget-me-not bud.
In addition, the lining of the shoe opening, the inner part of the sneaker, peeks out in a lustrous blue, the color of a blooming forget-me-not flower. The insole, which is not visible from the outside, is printed with a fully bloomed forget-me-not, which one imagines many times hoping to blossom oneself.
To celebrate the launch of Forget-me-nots × Jordan Air Ship, a limited-time pop-up shop "FROM BUD TO FLOWER" will open at Forget-me-nots Daikanyama from Saturday, September 16 to Sunday, October 1, 2023.
At "FROM BUD TO FLOWER," the entire Forget-me-nots Daikanyama store will be transformed into a space that evokes the powerful image of wildflowers sprouting from cracks in concrete. The interior will be adorned with Air Ship-specific fixtures created exclusively for this event, and the story of Air Ship as a phantom footwear, along with a documentary about the newly launched Forget-me-nots × Jordan Air Ship, will be gathered in one place.
In addition, there will be giveaways available only here, and a booth where you can feel the story of Air Ship and send a message to your future self, who will blossom from now on.
