Special booth - Courrèges 10.22 Fri - at Forget-me-nots
Starting Friday, October 22, 2021, a special Courrèges booth will be set up at Forget-me-nots Daikanyama, a select shop specializing in women's sneakers and apparel.
"I can feel your heartbeat," the first collection by new artistic director Nicolas Di Felice, reinterprets the brand's iconic elements for the modern age, reflecting on André Courrèges' youth and the beginning of his "workshop era" when his lexicon began to take shape, creating an ode to youth. It features large volumes, an exploration of geometric structures, and a generous allowance for rounded, prominent seams. However, it is also a vivid letter to today's youth who can no longer dance. This collection celebrates encounters in a broad sense, expressing meetings between eras, the world, and people in a way that is both romantic and radical. As a result, a dialogue emerges between the maison's traditions and the archetypes of workwear and clubwear (trucker jackets, bomber jackets, five-pocket pants, T-shirts). "I can feel your heartbeat" is an ode to the house's values of optimism and a message of courage to the younger generation.
