Talking with her
Talking w/ Model Mayuri

fmn: Please tell us your first impression of the Jordan Mule.
Mayuri: My first impression was that they looked easy and comfortable to walk in. I used to think mules were tiring, but these feel stable, and I think I could walk a lot in them.
fmn: What's your favorite color, Mayuri?
Mayuri: This cow print design is really cute, and it's my favorite. Patterns can seem difficult to style, but I like how they can unexpectedly become an accent in an outfit.
fmn: How would you like to style them?
Mayuri: I'd like to add a bit of playfulness to a simple outfit with the cow print on my feet. I think pairing patterned mules with basic clothing creates a balanced and stylish look.
fmn: Could you try styling them with fmn items?
Mayuri: First, I'd pair them with GANNI jeans. The flared hem gives them a beautiful silhouette, and they're my favorite. For the top, I chose a simple brown one. The subdued color allows the pattern on the shoes to stand out.

fmn: When do you feel most like yourself?
Mayuri: I feel most like myself when I'm engrossed in something I love or when I'm spending time in nature. Especially in nature, I can clear my mind of unnecessary thoughts, and it helps me connect with my honest feelings and senses.
fmn: Please tell us about any culture or things that have influenced you recently.
Mayuri: My involvement with a "farm" has had a very significant impact on me.
fmn: What exactly did you think?
Mayuri: There was a period when I often had the opportunity to go to Fukuoka, and there I experienced growing sweet potatoes and ginger by regularly visiting a farm. Through that process, I came to feel that the act of "nurturing something" applies not only to vegetables but to all things. In situations where results aren't immediate, I gradually realized that "nurturing" also includes the time spent caring and waiting.
fmn: What values or words do you cherish?
Mayuri: I feel that my values change daily, but recently, I've especially cherished the presence of my fifth-grade sister. Her perspective on things is very straightforward and pure. Watching her often makes me realize that I, too, want to try to keep my honest feelings. Another phrase that has stayed with me since elementary school is, "No trial is given that cannot be overcome." When difficult things happen, this phrase often comes to mind, and I naturally calm down, thinking, "Then I must be able to overcome this too." It's like a charm for me.

fmn: Do you have a daily routine?
Mayuri: Lately, drinking a smoothie every morning has become my routine. I'm not usually a big fan of vegetables, but I can enjoy carrots and other vegetables deliciously in a smoothie, so I recommend it. Also, I put my face in ice water every morning. It helps me wake up refreshed and reset my mood.
fmn: Is there anything you do or wear to boost your mood?
Mayuri: I love pink, so when I want to boost my mood, I often incorporate pink into accessories and other small items. Also, buying flowers to decorate my room and spending time knitting are precious moments that heal me. These are my "three essential mood boosters."
fmn: Please tell us about anything you'd like to challenge in the future.
Mayuri: In the future, I'd like to try acting. I haven't had much experience with it, so I'm sure there will be a lot to learn, but I'd be happy if I could expand my range of expression.
