- YOU & fmn -

What first led you to discover fmn?

I found out about it when it had just opened. I'm always wandering around, so I thought, "What's this shop?" and went in. I liked courrèges, so I went in because I saw they had courrèges.

What kind of shop is fmn in your opinion?

I thought it was really bold, quickly bringing in brands that are conscious of trends and fashion.
Also, it's great that they have a wide range of accessories, not just clothes. There aren't many shops like that. They also have perfumes and lifestyle goods like interior items in the back, don't they?
I liked that kind of display method, and I also liked how the clothes were arranged.

What are your favorite items you’ve purchased at fmn?

I bought shoes, and I think fmn had Rokh clothing earlier than anywhere else, so I bought Rokh clothes when the store first opened.
fmn often has brands earlier than anywhere else, don't they? I think they're quick to spot trends. So it's possible that I've seen and bought things at Forget-me-nots before they became widely available.

- STYLE TALK WITH YOU -

You put together 10 different styles for this shoot. What were the key points of the overall styling?

Since we were doing a pop-up, I had a general idea of Forget-me-nots' product lineup. So I kept in mind the customers who would visit and their preferred styles, and tried to cater to that.

Could you tell us about the sneakers you're currently interested in?

I'm wearing the Adidas collaboration with Edison Chen right now. I own several types of these.
I also like NIKE. For NIKE, I wear classic AIR FORCE, and I also wear New Balance and Asics. I think I have all the good ones.

Are there any apparel brands you're interested in right now?

Since I go to Korea all the time, Korean clothes immediately come to mind. For more mature brands, I think Kume and ELBON are good. For casual styles, I probably like The Barnnet.

How do you discover these notable brands?

By walking around and stumbling upon them, or seeing them pop up while I'm browsing Instagram. I've explored Korea quite a bit, so I know my way around and have a good feel for the different areas, so I usually just come across them while looking.

Is Korean fashion particularly what you're focusing on right now?

Korea is close, so it feels like going to Japan, but it's a foreign country. And there are lots of cute, inexpensive clothes to buy. I'd really like to go shopping in Europe or New York, but they're far away, so it requires a bit of time, doesn't it? There are so many cute things there, in Europe and America too. But I haven't been recently, so I want to go to New York or LA.

- ABOUT THE TW POPUP STORE -

Please tell us about the highlights and recommended aspects of the upcoming TW POPUP at the fmn Daikanyama main store.

I think TW will have items that are unlike anything at Forget-me-nots, and by combining them, a new chemistry will emerge. I believe that by discovering this together, we can progress to something better, so whether it's the customers who come to buy or the staff members, I hope we can all inspire each other.

- YOUR VOICE AS A WOMAN -

Finally, please give a message to women who are following in the footsteps of seniors like you, who are independent and continue to be actively successful.

Life is only once, and I believe that spending time for yourself, spending money, and working is ultimately the most important thing. Because all of that comes back to you, and it leads to things like becoming more beautiful, feeling fulfilled, becoming stronger-willed, gaining confidence, and fueling your next motivation. So, taking action to fulfill that is the most important thing. If you keep that in mind every day and think, "Alright, I'm going to work hard," it will definitely come back to you. By living that way, I think everything can move forward positively and joyfully.
